Samue is a type of Japanese kimono originally worn by Zen Buddhist monks as they performed their daily tasks (samu). It is a set that comprises of a kimono inspired overshirt and lounge pants. Today, in addition to being used at temples, samue has become popular among the general public as relaxation wear, loungewear, and everyday wear.
